Chronology
After years in New York City, fourteen-year-old Autumn returns to the Amazon rainforest to save her childhood village and her beloved jaguar friend. A spiritual remake of Gilles de Maistre’s previous film Mia i bijeli lav (2018), this movie is a sweet family film that younger girls will enjoy. There’s not much for parents to do. The plot is predictable and the moral of the story a bit forced, but I have to be honest: it was a lot of fun to watch with our 6-year-old daughter. The movie has almost all the trappings of a family movie: over-the-top adults, overly wise children, a thin plot, easily overcome deadly situations, and so on. But the main character is well-played. The role of the clumsy teacher is not believable (what is she doing out there in the jungle?), but it’s still well-played. And if you like jungle scenes with waterfalls, you won’t be disappointed.
