Megatron’s original name, D-16, is a reference to the Japanese serial number of the original Generation I Megatron toy released by the Takara company in 1984
Chronology
The never-before-told origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once upon a time, close friends who forever changed the fate of Cybertron. Chris Hemsworth, Keegan-Michael Key, Brian Tyree Henry and director Josh Cooley discuss the true identity of the Transformers and what inspired them to embark on their journey to Cybertron. The letter D is short for Destron, the Japanese name for the Decepticons used in older media, while the number 16 designated the original Megatron toy as the sixteenth release in the Japanese toy line. When the Iacon 5000 contestants transform for the race, a purple Transformer jet already has a pair of red light effects floating behind its back, attached to nothing, before it transforms into a jet.
Elite -1: Why?
B gagged? Shockwave: He wouldn’t stop talking. Elita -1: Even when he was unconscious? Shockwave: ESPECIALLY when he was unconscious!.
There are two scenes worth watching in the credits
One is in the mid-credits, featuring Badassitron and the other is of Megatron at the end of the credits.. Several international releases of the film (including the UK) were edited to cut out Orion’s “finger transformation” seconds earlier, as well as changing any mention of Bee’s “knife hands” to refer to them as “sword hands”. It’s perhaps likely that Paramount pre-cut the film for such territories.. Featured in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: Theaters Fighting Trolls (2020).

Transformers One is the BEST Transformers movie! High octane, hilarious and most importantly emotionally deep action with its themes of friendship + layers of social hierarchy brings to life some enlightening pieces of the Transformers universe! Very different from anything we’ve seen on the big screen.
This is more than you can imagine!
I’ll have to see it a couple more times. I’m very excited to see where this takes the franchise! The animation is truly epic, with visuals that are more than meets the eye. The all-star cast delivered with all the action, emotion, heart and humor, making this the Transformers movie we’ve all been waiting for!
