Chronology

An author returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot to find inspiration for his next book, only to find that the townspeople are being attacked by a bloodthirsty vampire. Writer Gary Dauberman told Den of Geek in June 2019 that his goal with the new version of Salem’s Lot is to make vampires scary again. It wants to get away from the sexier, more romanticized undead that have infested pop culture for most of the past quarter-century, thanks to everything from Interview with the Vampire to Twilight to The Vampire Diaries. When Ben reads an old newspaper on microfilm in the library, the headline reads “Local Drunk Victims”. The paper was allegedly printed in 1956, at a time when the term “DUI” was not spoken.

It was a nice movie

References Trog (1970). Sundown Written and performed by Gordon Lightfoot Courtesy of Warner RecordsBy arrangement with Warner Music Group Film & TV Licensing. It really needs to be an 8-10 hour mini series. This way the characters could be explored better. We would be more interested in story and tradition.

It was perfect

I felt the actors did well with what they were given. All the leads did a good job of conveying their characters’ motivations given the shortness of the film. The heroes of the story are good. He loved the teacher as well as the two main characters and the little kid who showed no fear. Nope.

Other than them

But. The effects were well done. Although they should have waited for the big reveal until later in the story. A solid movie. Again.

A miniseries was supposed to be made

The last series of "What we do in the shadows" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres of the month. Check out our October calendar for more!
