Many of the negative critics claim to have firsthand experience with the subject matter. While Lioness may contain enough technical errors to prevent it from qualifying as a special operations documentary, there are so many other details that it gets right, some of them surprisingly, that it stands out starkly from most of the programming one might compare it to.
